Part I: Solid solution and ageing of stainless steel - Overview (1)

2.1 Main Equipment Table

2.2 Main equipment description

2.2.1 High temperature box furnace

The electric furnace shell is made of folded steel and the inner lining is a rectangular integral lining made of silicon carbide refractory material. The furnace is sealed structure, the furnace mouth brick of the electric furnace and the furnace door brick are made of light refractory material. Between the inner furnace and the furnace shell, refractory fiber and expanded perlite products are used as insulation layer.

2.2.2 digital display hardness tester

Digital display hardness tester

The HRS-150 digital display Rockwell hardness tester has novel appearance, interface menu, the reading device adopts grating sensor and computer control, and the hardness indication value is directly displayed on the liquid crystal screen as a mechanical and electrical integration hardness testing instrument. The machine can automatically convert various hardness parameters to each other to identify the minimum thickness of the test piece and the ambient temperature of the test. Built-in printer to read the relevant test results. Automated operation is eliminated, eliminating human error and reading errors. Applicable to Rockwell hardness testing of hard alloys, hardened steel, annealed steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, etc. It can be widely used in industries and places such as metrology, machinery manufacturing, metallurgy, building materials, scientific research and production. .

2.2.3 Metallographic microscope

Metallographic microscope

Metallographic microscopes are used to identify and analyze the microstructure of various metals and alloys. In this experiment, an inverted metallographic microscope is used. The base of the instrument has a large supporting area, the bending arm is firm, the center of gravity of the instrument is low, and the installation is stable and reliable. The eyepiece tube is inclined at 45° to the support surface for comfortable viewing.

Overhead Sectional Door

Overhead sectional door most widely used for loading areas on all types of industrial premises and Designed with a curved overhead track, these vertically-opening sectional doors can be installed in areas with reduced head room. They provide heat and sound insulation with its composite panel construction.

The counterbalance and cable system provides quiet and straight forward operation for manual doors. Electric operation is available for larger applications that can incorporate many alternative operator options to suit all client requirements.

The standard outer panels are manufactured from 0.5mm thick, high quality zinc coating to BS EN 10147

For the best weather protection the sectional door panel has an interlocking hinged joint integrating a high quality seal the full length of the panel.

A counterbalance system is incorporated into the sectional overhead door to ensure efficient and effortless operation.

The counterbalance comprises of springs mounted on a steel shaft that are high tensile helical wound steel. It has been heat treated for enhanced performance for around 50,000 cycles.

Reducing shaft friction is achieved with the aid of brackets and guide rollers incorporating highest quality sealed bearings.
