February car production and sales fell by 30%

According to the latest data released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, due to the impact of the Spring Festival holiday, China's automobile production and sales decreased by 29.89% and 33.09% respectively in February this year. The growth rate of production and sales in the first two months fell below 10%. Analysts pointed out that due to the long holiday in February this year, the chain fell sharply and expected to fall sharply. In February, the growth rate of production and sales generally dropped sharply. For example, in February last year, the production and sales decreased by 25.30% and 27.20% respectively. The decline in production and sales of all models showed that in February this year, the production and sales volume of automobiles was 1,260,300 units and 1,267,000 units, down 29.89% and 33.09% respectively, up 4.48% and 4.57% respectively. As a result, in January and February, automobile production and sales completed 3,608,100 and 3,155,400 respectively, an increase of 8.75% and 9.71% respectively. The production and sales of all models decreased from the previous month, and most of them showed positive growth. Production and sales are divided into models, the production and sales of passenger cars and commercial vehicles are lower than last month, but higher than the same period last year. In February of this year, the production and sales of passenger cars in China were 9.693 million and 967,200 respectively, down 30.67% and 36.74% respectively from the previous month, up 5.42% and 2.57% respectively. In the passenger car models, the production and sales volume were negative growth, the decline was about 30%, of which car sales fell by 40.80%, the largest decline in passenger cars; year-on-year, in addition to cross-type passenger car decline In addition, the remaining models showed varying degrees of growth. In February, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were completed 293,100 and 298,800 respectively, down 27.14% and 17.81% respectively from the previous month, up 1.46% and 11.59% respectively. In terms of models, production and sales have declined to varying degrees compared with the previous month. Among them, passenger cars and buses have the most obvious decline in non-complete vehicles, with both production and sales falling by more than 40%. According to the export data of automobile manufacturers by the China Automobile Association, the export of automobile enterprises in February was 43,400 units, down 16.51% from the previous month and up 63.56% year-on-year. Own brand market share decline According to statistics, since the purchase of tax incentives, car to the countryside policies canceled in February this year, low-emission passenger car market share continued to decline. In February, sales of passenger cars of 1.6 liters and below were 681,100, a decrease of 36.88% from the previous month and an increase of 0.80% over the same period of the previous year. Passenger cars of 1.6 liters and below accounted for 70.41% of the total number of passenger vehicles. The monthly decline was 0.16 percentage points, down 1.25 percentage points from the same period of the previous year. Overall, in January-February, the sales of passenger cars of 1.6 liters and below accounted for 70.51% of the total number of passenger cars, down 1.08 percentage points over the same period. Due to the advantages of self-owned brands in the sales of low-emission vehicles, the decline in the market share of passenger cars of 1.6 liters and below led to a decline in the market share of self-owned brands. According to statistics, in February, the sales of self-owned brands of passenger cars totaled 456,900 units, down 35.04% from the previous month and down 4.30% from the same period of last year. It accounted for 47.24% of the total sales of passenger vehicles, and the share increased by 1.23 percentage points from the previous month and decreased by 3.39. Percentage points. As a result, in the first two months, the self-owned brands of passenger cars sold a total of 1,160,500 units, an increase of 3.17% year-on-year, accounting for 46.49% of the total sales of passenger vehicles. The occupancy rate decreased by 3.31 percentage points from the same period of the previous year. In this regard, China Automotive Assistant Secretary-General Zhu Yiping said that many automobile development promotion policies were officially withdrawn at the beginning of this year, and Beijing implemented the measures to control the purchase and restriction. The policy environment is far less than the previous two years; and China's automobile industry has experienced two years. After the rapid development, automobile production and sales have reached a considerable scale, and the growth base is relatively high. Therefore, we judge that the growth rate of production and sales this year will not show the rapid growth of the previous two years.
