Vietnam will impose export tax on some rubber products

According to a report published on the website of Vietnam’s “Young People’s Daily” on October 27, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued a notice a few days ago to include some rubber products in the list of goods subject to export tax. From December 8th, 2011, we will export all kinds of natural rubber products, rubber gums and other similar natural gums, natural rubber latexes that have been or have not been treated, untreated primary shapes or plates, and tablets. Synthetic rubber strips are subject to a 3% export tax; synthetic rubber exports are subject to a 5% export tax. At present, all of the above rubber products have no export tax.
