The CTLS light sport aircraft is a single-wing, light-duty sports aircraft with two-seat, dual-handling, conventional tail layout with a fully movable stabilizer, a composite fuselage, and a fixed three-point landing gear. The CTLS aircraft is equipped with advanced Garmin and Dynon avionics instruments; the Rotax912ULS engine is powered by automotive gasoline; the body is equipped with parachutes. The maximum range of 1600 kilometers, life time up to 8 hours. Has the most spacious cockpit of its class. Its many performance indicators make it a leader in the same class of aircraft. The CT series sport aircraft ranked first in the European and North American sports aircraft market.

Flight Design GmbH is a global leader in the design and production of lightweight sports aircraft. The company's headquarters, technical research and development institutes and maintenance centers, and delivery centers are located in Germany. Its wholly-owned factory is located in Ukraine.

At present, the company mainly produces CT series sport aircrafts with carbon fiber composite fuselage. In April 2005, it obtained the special airworthiness certificate for the FAA sports aircraft, and it was the first manufacturer in the world to obtain the airworthiness certificate. In 2008, the company obtained ISO9001 quality certification and obtained a production certification issued by the Light Aircraft Manufacturers Association (LAMA). In 2009, it was the first Chinese sports aircraft manufacturer to pass the Airworthiness Certification of China Civil Aviation.

The CT series sports aircraft are mainly used for training and inspection purposes. The aircraft is used worldwide for a variety of purposes; flight training, patrols, aerial photography, advertising towing, and trailer gliders can be completed.
