Safe storage method for three types of pesticides

From the external form, pesticides are generally classified into three types: solid pesticides, liquid pesticides, and gas pesticides. These three kinds of pesticides have different properties depending on the shape, so there are different requirements for the storage environmental conditions. If you pay little attention to the storage, it is prone to deterioration and even cause a safety accident. The storage characteristics and precautions of the three pesticides are described below for reference.

Solid pesticides: Solid pesticides are generally afraid of water and fear of moisture. It is important to pay attention to moisture and moisture. When storing, use wood, cement board or dried chaff or wheat straw, straw, etc., and pay attention to ventilation and moisture. Do not store aerosols with volatile, flammable or explosive materials. Do not place them near fire and the temperature should not exceed 30 °C.

Liquid pesticides: Liquid pesticides are mostly afraid of heat, sun exposure, and high temperatures. The key point is to pay attention to heat insulation and sun protection, avoid high temperature, prevent contact with air, keep away from fire source, and prevent contact with oxidant and alkaline substances. Generally, it should be placed in a place that is ventilated and sheltered from the sun, cool and dry. When storing, generally pay attention to the bottle mouth. Do not stand upside down, do not store with strong oxidants such as nitrates, strong acids, and organic matter such as charcoal and paper scraps. Bottle caps and stoppers of bottled pesticides must be tightly closed to prevent volatility and decomposition. In addition, some pesticides should be treated with special attention. For example, phoxim and trifluralin emulsifiable concentrates are easy to decompose when exposed to heat, and should be stored in a dark and cool place. Dichlorvos emulsifiable concentrate is easily decomposed and decomposed. Pay attention to the seal and do not store it for a long time. Most organophosphorus pesticides are easily decomposed and decomposed by alkali, and should not be mixed with alkaline substances during storage. Bottled liquid pesticides encounter freezing temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, forming a block or freezing the bottle. It is best to use a rice husk for heat preservation and antifreeze during storage.

Gas Pesticides: Gas pesticides, also known as compressed gas pesticides such as methyl bromide, are generally packaged in sealed steel cylinders or special tanks. These pesticides are afraid of high temperature and high pressure, and are afraid of impact and vibration. The key point is to prevent leakage and prevent explosion. Like methyl bromide itself is not easy to burn and explode, but it will cause explosion when it encounters high temperature or strong impact under external force, and methyl bromide is highly toxic. During storage, it is necessary to check whether the valve is loose or not, and whether the cylinder (can) is damaged or not. Whether there is a handstand, whether there is any spillage of pesticides, so as to avoid strict safety risks.
