Cause analysis
Through careful analysis and observation at the production site, as well as careful checking of the operating procedures, the author found that some operators used the equipment, due to various reasons such as the complex production environment, sometimes ignored the importance of the cooling circulating water valve, not fully open Or simply forget to open, causing the water-passing cable to be damaged too quickly because it cannot be effectively cooled.
According to the operating standards, it is first necessary to ensure that sufficient cooling water flows through the cooling system before the welding with the spot welding machine (so that the thyristor, transformer and water supply cables are effectively cooled and cooled during operation). Although the hanging spot welder is designed with temperature protection devices for important components, it sometimes does not play its due role during use, which not only increases the failure rate of the equipment but also has great safety hazards. Water cables that heat up sharply can burn workers, and welding transformers can cause safety accidents.
Automatic safety monitoring
After finding the root of the problem, you can find a solution to the problem. After on-site observation and refer to the relevant information, the technician decided to install a water flow transmitter in the thyristor cooling waterway (see Figure 1). The circuit is connected into the control loop and alarm system of the device to convert the water flow signal into an electrical signal, so that the water and electricity are combined to form a dual protection system.
