The products of these enterprises require high-strength product packages, coupled with the rapid development of China’s major projects and the automobile industry, thus dragging the domestic high-intensity, With the demand for high-precision, high value-added fasteners, the total number of imported steel fastener products in 2003 reached 121,200 tons, an increase of 20.14% over the same period of last year. The import amount was US$773 million, an increase of 43.65% over the same period of last year. The average ton price was 6373.8 USD/ton, a year-on-year increase of 18.50%, a rise of US$994.3 per ton. The main importing countries are Japan, the United States, Germany, and other advanced countries. The average ton price exceeds US$9000, which is ten times the price of China's export products.

China's fastener industry has grown at a rate of up to one year in recent years. The development of the industry shows the following characteristics: (1) The degree of concentration of the fastener industry is obvious.

According to the statistics of the industry associations in 2003, it can be seen that the entire industry exceeds 100 million yuan and the sales revenue is 5.035 billion yuan, accounting for 25.18% of the national sales revenue; it accounts for 55.49% of the statistical sales revenue of the Association, and exports more than 1,000 US dollars worth of foreign exchange earnings. 13 households earned foreign exchange earnings of 296 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 36.93% of the country’s industrial export earnings, and accounting for 50.2% of the Association’s statistical export earnings.
