Among the main products, ethylene production was 1.38 million tons, an increase of 48.3% year-on-year, 17.9% higher than the previous period; production of caustic soda was increased by 8.3% year-on-year; production of soda ash was down 2.6% year-on-year; output of pesticides was up by 20.5%; fertilizer production was down by 4%. From January to August, the added value of the chemical industry increased by 16.9% year-on-year, the growth rate accelerated by 6.4 percentage points year-on-year; the production of caustic soda, soda ash and ethylene rose by 17.1%, 11.4%, and 39.9%, respectively; the output of pesticides and chemical fertilizers increased by 19.7% and 4.4 respectively. %.
