How does a rotary viscometer monitor and control product quality?
Rotary viscometer is a special laboratory testing instrument for measuring viscosity. It is used to measure the viscous resistance and liquid dynamic viscosity of liquid. It is widely used to measure oil, paint, plastic, food, medicine, cosmetics, glue, etc. The viscosity of various fluids is a precision instrument for monitoring and controlling the quality of products in production.
Operation of the Rotational Viscometer 1. Clean the rotary viscometer and adjust the two leveling feet until the blisters on the top of the viscometer are in the center position. (leveling)
2. Mount the rotor protection frame on the rotary viscometer (screw it to the right and unscrew it to the left)
3. Screw the selected rotor into the connecting screw (screw it to the left and screw the electronic balance to the right)
4. Plug in the power and turn on the switch button on the back of the rotary viscometer.
5. Enter the selected rotor number: Each time the rotor key is pressed, the rotor number displayed on the screen changes accordingly until the screen displays the selected rotor number.
6. Select the speed: press the “speed†button to set the speed, and press the TAB button to shift to the ten, one and tenth positions of the current display speed. After the selection, press the number increase button or subtract to set the ten. The speed of the bit, the ones and the tenths.
After the speed is set, press the speed key DIN cup to confirm.
7. Rotate the lift knob to slowly lower the rotary viscometer. The rotor is gradually immersed in the liquid to be measured until the mark on the rotor is level with the liquid surface. Adjust the viscometer position to level.
8. Press the “Measure†button, the stepper motor starts to rotate, and the current rotor, the viscosity value at this speed and the percent scale can be measured simultaneously at the appropriate time (the reading is stable with a large roughness meter).
9. During the measurement process, if you need to convert the rotor, you can directly press the "Reset" button. (At this point the motor stops rotating and the viscometer is constantly energized). After the rotor is replaced, repeat steps 6-8 above to continue the measurement. In particular, be sure to adjust the corresponding rotor number SP on the instrument after replacing the rotor of the rotary viscometer.
10. After the measurement is completed, press the “Reset†button and turn off the power switch. Rotate the lift knob to slowly increase the viscometer and take out the measurement sample. Remove the rotor of the rotary viscose centrifuge and clean the rotor, instrument and test bench of the rotary viscometer.
