Hegong University of Materials College held the 2015 New Students Opening Ceremony

A new life, a wonderful start. On the afternoon of September 9, the School of Materials held a grand opening ceremony for the 2015 freshmen in the D303 Academic Lecture Hall. Zou Wenjun, Dean of Materials College, Wang Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Ying, Vice President, Xu Sankui, Vice President, Political Counselors of all grades, outstanding teachers of the College and all the freshmen of 2015 attended the ceremony. The opening ceremony kicked off in the solemn national anthem. Dean Zou Wenjun delivered an important speech. On behalf of the School of Materials, he sent a heartfelt congratulations to the freshmen from all corners of the country. Then, Dean Zou introduced the college profile to the freshmen from the school history, teacher strength, employment situation and professional achievements. He raised four hopes for the 15th-level freshman: First, he hopes that the 15th-level freshmen will adjust their mentality into the family of the School of Materials as soon as possible. Second, he hopes that the students can uphold the traditional spirit of the School of Materials, which persists in innovation and is not afraid of hardship. Efforts to study professional knowledge and strive to be materials with materials; third, he hopes that students can reasonably arrange university life and improve their overall quality; fourth, he hopes that freshmen will develop their own moral sentiments and learn knowledge. At the same time, learn to be a person and strive to be a person with a sense of direction, determination, responsibility, responsibility, dreams and feelings.

Then, the outstanding teacher representative of the college, Wang Haikuo, delivered a speech. He said that the university is the beginning of a new journey, and the School of Materials is the cradle of dreams. Students should be down-to-earth, diligent and considerate, and strive to be the backbone of the development of science and technology and the leader of social fashion. Later, the student representative Li Wei shared the experience and sentiment of university life. He hoped that the students would cherish the university life and adapt and integrate into the new life as soon as possible. The freshman representative, Yu Xue, expressed the new students' yearning and embarrassment for university life, and called on everyone to meet new challenges with full enthusiasm.
